Keep innovating!

HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Module is a device that can measure the distance of an object by using ultrasound waves. For this, it sends out a sound wave at a specific frequency and listens to the sound wave to bounce back. Simply by recording the lapse time it becomes easy to calculate the distance between the sonar sensor and the object.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF THE ULTRASONIC SENSOR

The Ultrasonic Distance Sensor measures distance by using ultrasonic waves. The sensor head emits an ultrasonic wave and receives the wave reflected back from the target. Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the target by measuring the time lapse between the emission and reception.

SCHEMATICS TO WIRE HC-SR04

In order to wire the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to the Arduino, it needs to be connected with an 11 or 12 Pin Trig and Echo module. Connecting the 5V out from Arduino to VCC and GND to the GND module along with some HTML code makes this function properly.

PERFECT FOR ARDUINO PROJECTS

The Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04 is easy to use and ideal for Arduino projects. You only need a compatible controller board for making it work.
